How to SYNC an Excel Quote Template to Scaflog

For Quote Sync Spreadsheets the following Notes and Steps are worth following.
NOTES:
When downloading the spreadsheet that contains the various tabs and formulas, please ensure you put a version number at the end. ie CAS Template V4.xlsm
If the file is an .xlsx or .xls then NO MACROS are present YET!
If the file is an .xlsm then there are MACROS present. BUT if this is the first time you have seen the spreadsheet from the client then it DOES NOT contain our MACROS to sync with Scaflog. It has macros that the client is using.
The FINAL version of the spreadsheet MUST HAVE the following Tabs:
  • QUOTE
  • CSV
  • Output

Optionally, you can add as many other workings tabs as you like.

Often, our users will use a tab called PRICING, which can contain defaults for usage throughout the spreadsheet.

Below is a video on how to UPGRADE a spreadsheet in Excel with the Macros that allow integration with Scaflog.

VIDEO TRAINING:

Video 1 - Initial Preparation of the Spreadsheet

Video 2 - Technical Video of Setup of the Macro Code.

See the STEPS below for where to find the code mentioned in the video below and the tools used to update the spreadsheet.

STEPS:

  1. MACRO CODE: The Utilities, Macro code and Class structures are all contained in a shared google drive contained here:

  1. UI EDITOR: Below is the Link to the Special Excel User Interface Editor (you will need to download this free tool to your PC desktop or laptop)

NB. Without the UI Editor software you can add a button to the ribbon of the spreadsheet and link to the macro ('pushToZoho') or just add a button or shape to the Excel and link the macro to it. In both cases, the macro you need to attach to the button is called 'pushToZoho'.
